ZTA ceramic lining extends mechanical life, saves costs, and improves material purity

Vertical stirring mill is a typical ultrafine grinding equipment, commonly used for fine grinding or regrinding operations of silver ore, molybdenum ore, lead zinc ore, manganese ore, iron ore, and nickel ore, as well as for grinding chemical materials. During the grinding process, the inner cylinder of the mixer faces high temperature, corrosion, strong impact, and severe friction, which leads to frequent replacement and maintenance of the inner cylinder of the mixer. Analysis of Working Conditions of Vertical Stirring Mill

1. High wear: During the process of grinding materials in a vertical stirring mill, the grinding ball and material will rotate at high speed in the inner cylinder, causing severe friction on the inner cylinder wall. Moreover, many materials have very sharp edges during the grinding process, resulting in severe cutting wear and tear, which can cause high wear and tear on the inner drum of the stirring mill.

3. High temperature: High temperature is generated by high-speed rotating grinding balls and materials, as well as intense friction, which is also a key consideration when selecting materials for the inner cylinder and preventing wear.

4. Acid alkali corrosion: Some chemical materials may have strong corrosiveness, and materials with active chemical properties such as metals are prone to corrosion, which can prevent normal operation or affect product quality. ZTA ceramic, also known as alumina zirconia composite ceramic, is installed on the inner wall of the mixing mill using a dovetail slot installation method to form an anti-wear layer. This wear-resistant layer has the hardness and excellent wear-resistant ability of alumina, as well as the toughness of zirconia, which can effectively resist impact. The dovetail groove installation method used is also able to withstand high temperatures, and the chemical inertness of alpha alumina gives it strong corrosion resistance.
